Using our exclusive continuous grinding process across multiple screening decks enables us to produce a consistent grind.

Hemlock Bark Mulch
When only the best will do! 100% natural hemlock bark, free of any dye. This popular mulch provides natural, tasteful color to any landscape.
Aged Hemlock
A naturally aged hemlock bark with a dark burgundy color. This product is not dyed, yet maintains a rich deep tone.
Premium Hemlock Blend
A combination of pine, spruce and hemlock. This finely ground mulch is color enhanced to look like a natural hemlock at a cost savings.
100% Spruce Bark
Crafted from 100% bark that has been aged over the winter. This rich and aromatic bark mulch will maintain its color and richness longer than a pine- or wood-based mulch.
Dark Pine Bark
Pine and Spruce bark that has been “cooking” since last fall, resulting in a smooth shade of mocha with a fine texture.
Performance Mulch (compost/bark blend)
A 50/50 mix of our Aged Pine bark and a high-quality, nutrient rich compost. Ideal mulch for perennial gardens and all landscape applications. This fine-textured mixture is in high demand, as it is beneficial to all plant beds.
Aged Dark Bark
An all-bark product that has been aged for 40 to 50 years! We extract this extremely old bark from the Maine woods and screen it to a fine texture. Retains a rich, deep brown tone when dry and near black when wet. Due to weight, Aged Dark Bark is typically delivered in 50- to 60-yard quantities.
Pitch Black
A color-enhanced softwood bark mulch that is aged to maintain its rich, black color throughout the season.
Nature's Black Bark
Black bark with NO dye! Nutrient-rich and finely textured. This product has been aged to achieve its natural black color.
Fresh Pine
Made from fresh pine and spruce bark, this aromatic mulch is light-medium brown in color.
Certified Playground Chips
IPEMA certified to ASTM F1292 standards for use on and around playground equipment. Processed using virgin softwood, the chips are clean and fresh. Ideal for any play area.

Since 1970, we have been a leading manufacturer of quality bark mulch in New England. Using only hemlock, cedar, spruce, pine and other softwood barks, our mulch is 100% natural.One of the first large manufacturers of mulch in New England, MB Bark Mulch began operations in 1970 in Windham, Maine. In 2001 the company moved to our present location, a 200+ acre tract of land in Auburn, Maine. MB Bark has additional production locations in NH and MA allowing us to best serve our growing customer base.
